At some point every traveller has been touched by a special sentence or a quote. I’ve always had those moments and that’s why I asked you what is your favourite travel quote that inspires you the most and motivates you to continue your journey. As I expected you helped me a lot and even inspired me more than I could imagine!
A big THANK YOU to all of you who participated. I believe we can inspire together other travellers to take action and start planning their next trip.
So here are the most inspirational travel quotes:
Adrian from Adrian’s Travel Tales: “Travel is a way of life, the meaning of mine and what drives me to continue to better myself and grow.”
* * *
Sim from Travel Hacks: “Do you know that sudden feeling of happiness? That moment when you take a freshly ordered cup and feel the warmth of it and you feel like there is nothing more you miss and you are completely content? It’s a very humble way of contentment, a quiet and relieved state of mind that you encounter only in situations out of your comfort zone.”
* * *
Dave Cole from Cook Sip Go: “These words come from one of my favorite writers and remind me to share my unusual travel experiences and soak up recommendations of the same from others.”
* * *
Laura and Tanbay from Travelling Weasels: “We find that the hardest times always turn out to be the best stories, or at least the most captivating!”
* * *
James and Gabby from The Globe Wanderers: “We believe that life is about breaking through any comfort, fear or mental barrier that presents itself. In order to get out of life what is there and waiting for you, you have to take a bit of a risk.”
* * *
Hannah from Eath Sleep Breath Travel: “Taking risks is a huge aspect of travel, and part of what makes it so exciting, and in the end I believe that taking those risks have made me a stronger person.”
* * *
Natasha from The Boho Chica: “The beauty of experiencing diverse cultures and traditions, art and architecture, local cuisines and beautiful landscapes, while learning new things about myself and sometimes building surprisingly extraordinary relationships cannot be described in the choicest of words.”
* * *
Sandra from Canon Footprints: “You do not have to be a backpacker or vagabond, and that you can see the world outside your front door and still get to take amazing international trips during your “vacation time”.

Thanks! Oh, and to answer your question at the end of the post, this is my favourite travel quote of all time (but a bit too long to get on one graphic!):
“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends”. Maya Angelou

Bit of a late response Maria but BIG thank you for including our quote on here. All of the quotes are really inspiring and this kind of post is a great way to make people aware of smaller travel blogs which may still be finding their feet. (As we definitely are!) So thank you again.
Love your blog and looking forward to reading more, Gabby.

Love these, thanks!
This one has long been a favorite, even though it’s not applicable only to travel:
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined.” ~Thoreau
Sometimes we just need that gentle kick in the butt to remind ourselves that this IS what we want, and that we are strong enough to get out there. Stop (only) dreaming, start doing! 🙂

I love that saying! And yes, I strongly believe we are the ones who create our lifes so we have to stop dreaming and start doing!
