If I have to describe Social Cafe with one word, I would definitely be staring at the computer screen all day. It’s just because the place is so vibrant and chill at the same time.

The name of the place says all, actually. Social Cafe Bar & Kitchen is located on the most social place in Sofia – Vitosha boulevard. Despite its central location, the atmosphere inside is absolutely cozy and tranquil. That’s mostly true for the second flour which seems like it’s situated miles away from the central buzz. Or if you prefer to be close to the dynamic Vitosha boulevard, you can enjoy a nice meal in one of the tables outside. 

All in all, Social Cafe is perfect for lunch or dinner with exquisite cuisine, for a work meeting or a coffice. But it is also great for hanging out with friends for a cocktail after work….

With authentic Italian cuisine in a buzzing atmosphere, Social Cafe can easily become your favourite restaurant in Sofia, too. On top of that, there are plenty of music nights organized here. Jazz & funk or cuban latin nights… whatever you prefer, the event program for each month is one to always keep in mind.  

The Food

Social Cafe is one of the 25 restaurants part of Sofia Restaurant Week 2017, taking place from 7th until 13th of May. As part of the week-long festival, Social Cafe offered two menu options for 25 Leva each.

I don’t eat meat for over a year now, so my choice was obvious – the delicious vegetarian menu accompanied with homemade raspberry lemonade and nice view to Vitosha boulevard. The 3-course meal surprised me with so many new tastes that I didn’t even knew existed.

The mixed salad with dry tomatos was fresh and tasty. The salmon fillet with saffron risotto afterwards was absolutely delicious. The dessert? I don’t know about you but I never thought I’d try bio bourbon from Madagascar. My life is definitely complete now <3 

Salad: Mixed greens salad | Ladotyri cheese | Asparagus | Sun-dried tomatoes | Aged Balsamico | Extra virgin olive oil

Main dish: Salmon | Carnaroli  Rice Saffron Risotto | Wine reduction

Dessert: Panacotta | Bio Burbon Madagascar Vanilla | Strawberry soup

Of course, the food was Instagram worthy…

About Sofia Restaurant Week

Sofia Restaurant Week is a festival celebrating the diversity of Sofia’s restaurants. The event is held on 7-13 May 2017 with 25 new restaurants. All of them are offering a set menus for fixed price of 25 Leva (~13 Euro).
