Kayaking in Costa Brava with SK Kayak

kayaking in costa brava

After my epic skydive jump in Costa Brava I thought nothing else can give me such joy and happiness. Luckily, I realize soon that you can’t really get bored in Catalunya. There are various activities you can experience in Roses, Empuriabrava, Lloret de Mar or Llanca.

Yes, Llanca. That’s where I did my very first kayaking trip and I loved it!

Llanca is a charming little town in Costa Brava which is an important fishing and tourist hub. Llanca is very close to the French border and is relatively quiet and calm destination compared to the other towns on the coastline of the Costa Brava.

Our kayaking trip was with SK Kayak and our guide Pau Calero was super fun, knowledgeable and interesting person. SK Kayak offers more than just kayaking in Costa Brava but also a combination of snorkeling and kayaking as well as long kayaking expeditions.

After a brief training we paired up and got into our double kayaks (cuz that’s really how they call them, right?). And, let me tell you, as much as it looks smooth and easy, paddling a kayak is not easy at all. But eventually we got it.

We paddled into a small cave nearby, then had fun with sea urchins which were very cute but are apparently very dangerous if you step on them.

After all the pictures and fun we competed to the beach where our kayaking trip ended up without any accidents. We weren’t even wet when we got dry out of the kayaks. How cool!

The whole trip lasted about 1,5 hours, one of the best 1,5 hours in my life. So don’t miss the kayaking trip when you are in Costa Brava. Fun is guaranteed!
